They care little for the oil industry and the jobs that thousands of families depend upon.

Shell, Equinor and Ithica Energy have invested millions in the project, which is now being challenged by environmental campaigners.

Stopping this field will not reduce oil consumption or emissions, it will mean that other oil producing countries like Russia and Iran will benefit instead of the UK.

  So short sighted by these campaigners. They need to loose. This project should be given the go ahead.

  If this project is stopped, the world will still use the same amount of oil. The only difference is that a bit less of that oil will be British. The environmental damage will be greater because most other world oil source areas produce oil in a more polluting way than the UK.
