Singapore this afternoon. The Vox Maxima dredging boat collided with Marine Honour which was berthed at Pasir Panjang Terminal. No injuries reported. Both vessels have damage. The collision caused a rupture and extensive leak from an oil cargo hold. A large quantity of oil is floating with the tide.

  Oil has washed ashore at several beaches. Sentosa's Tanjong Beach is covered in oil. East Coast Park beach, Palawan, Siloso, the shore at Labrador Nature Reserve, Southern Islands, Marina South Pier and Sentosa Cove are all closed to the public.

  Several clean up teams have deployed. On the shore, people are removing oil soaked vegetation and sand. Teams in boats have deployed thousands of meters of container booms.

  Wildlife will suffer.

  This incident may hasten the closure of the Pasir Panjang Terminal, which is scheduled to be consolidated with the new mega Tuas Port by 2040.

  Sister's Islands Marine Park reported to having first signs of oil. This is a disaster for the marine park, home to soft corals, rare spounge, clown fish and giant clams among many other diverse creatures.

  Two days later and the spill clean up is being intensified. Oil still travelling on the water in some areas.
